Happy Newyear!!

Hi everyone!
Sorry about the long stall...
Been a bit busy :)

So~ We are all fine, had a lot of fun setting off firecrackers and fireworks, and are well into the new year.
I'm learning the drums (yay) and'll be putting up vids soon (uh oh promises... and i haven't even put up breaking vids XD )

And, last but not least, I got a whole set of charlie chaplin dvds for christmas!!!
if you guys want them i could set up a torrent (though, i might drive mom and dad crazy, since i'm already hogging bandwidth downloading one piece haha)

Save the Date!

Just wanted to provide a brief update on our wedding plans (what little we have...).

As of now, we'll be having the ceremony and banquet on August 9, 2008. The ceremony will take place around the afternoon at Dad's older brother's house in Pasadena. Very small, just family. Then later, we'll go to a restaurant for the banquet.

The formal invitations will be sent around March or April.

We're trying to keep everything as simple as possible, but it's still all very hard!

Happy New Year and Happy Chinese New Year! Hopefully, we'll see each other in August!

Virus

Yesterday mom got an e-mail from Aunt You that had a strange DOS file and objectionable pictures. I think a virus has affected her computer. Mom opened it without knowing what it was and today the antivirus detected a trojan in her computer with the file avpo.exe.

I don't know if that virus and the e-mail are related, but just in case, here's a site that tells how to remove it. I followed the instructions and so far everything looks fine.

Uncle Jiann, Felix, Aunt Sheau, and Cindy were also recipients of the e-mail. So everyone be careful.

Hello From Taiwan

It's very wet! We're having lots of fun though. Uncle and Felix have been showing us a great time! I love the food. Still getting used to the humidity though. And the bug bites.

Greetings from Rhode Island

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted sooner...this week/this summer has been exhausting. The semester just started at Brown, and this is my busiest semester yet. I'm taking two classes, teaching for the first time, holding an editorial assistantship for the Journal of Linguistics and Philosophy (my advisor is the Editor-in-Chief), and also finishing my first year project (it's sort of like a prelim or qualifying paper).

I don't have anything too interesting to say right now; just wanted to poke my head in and say hi. I have a (mostly research) blog at http://some-antics.com , pictures at http://flickr.com/photos/e-mma/ and a bunch of other Web2.0-y stuff linked from my blog.

We're Home and We're Healthy

Everything's well. We're home now and Gloria's back to normal, and we're seeing if we can plan a trip back to Taiwan from September 18-October 3. That's NEXT WEEK!
